Promotions can be added to mega menus as blocks. Promotion blocks will only be shown if mega menus have been enabled. Mega menus can be enabled using the "Desktop menu type" setting in the Header
section settings.
Attaching a promotion block to a top level menu link
To attach a promotion block to a top level menu link, enter the name of the top level menu link in the "Menu item" setting for that promotion block. For example, if you wanted to add a promotion block to a top level menu link called "Collections", then you would enter "Collections" in the "Menu item" setting.
The promotion block content (image, heading and text) would then be added to the mega menu for the relevant top level menu link after child links. If the promotion block has a link (added in the block settings), then clicking on any of the promotion block content will take the customer to the linked page.
Adding a promotion block to a child menu link
To attach a promotion block to a child menu link, the "Menu item" setting needs to have the name of the top level menu link followed by the ">" symbol and then the name of the child link. There should be no spaces between the ">" symbol and the link names. For example, if you wanted to add a promotion block to a child menu link called "Other" under the "Collections" top level menu link, then you would enter "Collections>Other" in the "Menu item" setting.
When a promotion block is added to a child menu link, only the promotion image will be shown under the child menu link. If a promotion block has a link (added in the block settings), then clicking on the promotion image will take the customer to the linked page.
